[amakurunamateka.com] FW: {UAH} Rwanda urged to take criminal action over BBC genocide film

Dear George Okello and others, truth is simply what not flawed/faked nor lies. I give three examples.

1. RPF-inkotanyi attacked Rwanda from Uganda with Uganda army means on 1st October 1990 when Museveni and Habyarimana were in the USA.  This is a truth.
Kagame who was general was leading that attack since 1/10/1990: this is a lie.
And, why this attack? Truth and lies are mixed in the provided answer.

2. Museveni during a state visit in Rwanda said to Habyarimana in Butare that none would attack Rwanda from Uganda. This declaration is a truth in the sens it has been done.
However, its meaning was a lie as Inkotanyi attacked Rwanda from Uganda some few years later.
Why this contradiction? The answer we hear or read is a mixture of truth and lies.

3. Tutsi were killed in Rwanda during the war 1990-1994. This is a truth.
And, alone Tutsi, but all, were killed and that only by the then Rwanda governement's side: this is a lie.
Again people see through various reports a mixture of truth and lies applied on facts and happenings.

This mixture of truth and lies explains why two groups of Rwandese cannot see a fact "their tragedy" with same eyes and evaluation, until one group tries to impose its views by forces (armies, politics, laws, bribery, etc.).
Yes, Man is unfortunately cought inside his double nature, i.e., perfection (from God) and evil (from Satan).

Mrs Knota Venant,
What is your definition of "truth"? Regarding the Rwanda Genocide, there are two versions of it: The first one promoted by Paul Kagame and the RPA and which has always been taken as the real "truth" up till recently,  and a second version that paints a totally opposite picture of what happened. Both of these versions are very persuasive. So if we are really seeking the truth, why should Kagame bully us into accepting only his own version?  If you truly belive in Freedom of Speech, would you not find Kagame's recent actions very alarming following the publication of the documentary "Rwanda's Untold Story?". He has launched all manner of complaints against the BBC and has also banned the BBC Rwanda service from broadcasting into Rwanda. Such are the actions of a fascist dictator because surely we are entitled to make our own minds about the genocide that happened in Rwanda. Kagame should not force us to accept his version.

What does the mother?
She stops breastfeeding the child and gives him food as done with aged children and teens who have to work for the bread in return. This is, however, not always the case. Some parents with weak authority fail to well educate their springs and simply sleepwalk into their children's ridiculous and bad behaviour.
Let us hope BBC and the UK will not fall into such a weakness and will stick on the truth, the only lasting action.

An inquiry in Rwanda has recommended that the government initiate criminal and civil proceedings against the BBC over a documentary which questioned official accounts of the 1994 genocide.
Inquiry head Martin Ngoga found that the documentary failed to meet the BBC's own editorial standards.
The BBC says it is "extremely disappointed" by the findings.
Rwanda suspended broadcasts by the BBC's Kinyarwanda language service after the TV documentary was aired.
"We stand by our right to produce the independent journalism which has made us the world's most trusted news source," the BBC said in a statement.
It said the programme was still going through its editorial complaints process.
"This process has not yet concluded but the provisional findings are that the documentary does not breach the BBC's editorial standards," the BBC said.

At least 800,000 people died in the genocide over a 100-day period in 1994.
Those killed are generally believed to be mostly members of the minority ethnic Tutsi group, and Hutus opposed to the mass slaughter.
The BBC programme Rwanda, The Untold Story, included interviews with US-based researchers who say most of those killed may have been Hutus, killed by members of the then-rebel Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), which has been in power since 1994.
The programme also included interviews with former aides of RPF leader President Paul Kagame, accusing him of plotting to shoot down the presidential plane - the act seen as triggering the slaughter.
He has strenuously denied previous such accusations.

BBC news reports recall how the genocide unfolded
Critics in Rwanda say that the documentary was an attempt to revise the history and facts of the genocide, and disrespected the memory of those who had died.
The BBC "strongly rejects any suggestion that any part of this documentary constitutes genocide denial".A parliamentary resolution in October said the programme's producer and presenter, as well as those interviewed for the documentary, should be charged with genocide denial - a punishable crime in Rwanda.
The BBC argued around the same time that it had a duty to investigate difficult and challenging subjects and believed the programme was a valuable contribution to the understanding of the tragic history of the country and the region.
The BBC also said several attempts to get the Rwandan government to respond to the allegations for the programme had not been taken up.
