Dans le titre la qualité de rescapée du génocide est maintenu alors que dans l'article, on apprend qu'elle n'était pas au Rwanda à ce moment-là.
La Télévision rwandaise (gouvernementale) évoquait une rescapée du génocide des Tutsis poignardée tandis que le semi-officiel The New Times penchait pour le lien entre cette attaque contre une rescapée du génocide et la première semaine de la commémoration de celui-ci.
Unconfirmed reports linked the deceased's death to her being a Genocide survivor, and this being a commemoration period, when cases of assault on survivors seem to escalate around the country.
