Nord Kivu : Situation chaotique dans le camp de réfugiés rwandais de Kanyabayonga - Jambonews FR

Ce samedi matin le 17 novembre 2018, le camp de transit des réfugiés rwandais dont des ex Forces Démocratiques de Libération du Rwanda : FDLR à Kanyabayonga dans la région de Goma, a été attaqué par des militaires congolais avec l'intention de les rapatrier de force vers le Rwanda.

Les réfugiés ont fui vers le camp de la MONUSCO (Mission de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour la stabilisation en République Démocratique du Congo), qui menace à son tour de les renvoyer vers le Rwanda. Jambonews a contacté ce matin quelques refugiés, selon eux la situation est chaotique et est proche de celle de 1996 quand l'Armée Patriotique Rwandaise, l'APR, a sauvagement détruit les camps qui abritaient plus des deux millions des réfugiés rwandais à l'Est de la RDC, massacrant une partie d'entre eux et rapatriant de force des milliers d'autres.

La population et les militaires congolais pillent en ce moment le camp de transit de Kanyabayonga. Selon les dernières informations qui viennent de parvenir à Jambonews, certains réfugies auraient été déjà renvoyés de force vers le Rwanda.

Il y a en République Démocratique du Congo quatre sites de transit des ex-réfugiés rwandais dont des ex FDLR : Walungu, Kanyabayonga au Nord-Kivu, Bukavu au Sud Kivu et Bahuma à Kisangani.

Le gouvernement congolais avait annoncé vouloir fermer pour fin octobre les camps de cantonnement hébergeant les ex-réfugiés. Les ex-combattants et les populations sous leur protection, s'étaient volontairement rendus en 2014 dans le cadre du programme DDR, (Désarmement, Démobilisation et Rapatriement).
La perspective d'un retour au Rwanda n'est pas rassurant car ces derniers avaient proposé comme préalable à leur retour volontaire au Rwanda un dialogue avec le régime de Kigali. Malgré leur insistance ils n'ont pas obtenu ce dialogue.
