"PRETORIA - KIGALI ROCKY ROAD

"Pretoria and Kigali [have] not yet discussed Kigali's expected demand that South Africa should curb [ General] Kayumba's political activities in South Africa as a condition for normalising relations. But if Rwanda did raise that concern, South Africa would raise its own concerns,". Per Lindiwe Sisulu , South Africa's Minister of Foreign Relations.

Sisulu disclosed that she has met General Kayumba to discuss with him Pretoria's plans to normalise relations with Kigali.

Apparently, the South Africa government wants Kagame to talk peace with the opposition in exile. President Kikwete of Tanzania fell out with Kagame for proposing talks between Kagame and Rwandans in exile.

I am not sure this is what Kagame wants to hear from South Africa. The ego pricked Hitler of Africa must be infuriated by Pretoria's decision to consult with Gen. Kayumba about " normalizing" relations with Kigali before consulting with Kagame. Pritoria's decision speaks volumes in diplomacy. "
