RDC-Rwanda: que faire des ex-rebelles FDLR?

Ils sont à peine 200 à avoir déposé les armes, mais, en RDC, la
question de l'avenir des rebelles des Forces démocratiques de
libération du Rwanda (FDLR) se pose déjà.

Traqués par l'armée congolaise et la brigade d'intervention des
Nations unies, les rebelles des Forces démocratiques de libération du
Rwanda (FDLR) stationnés dans l'est de la RDC ont commencé, fin mai, à
déposer "volontairement" les armes. Pour timide qu'il soit encore - il
concerne moins de deux cents combattants -, ce mouvement de reddition
s'est traduit par une suspension de six mois des opérations militaires
engagées contre eux.

"Nous espérons les inciter à continuer de se rendre", explique une
source onusienne. Reste à savoir où ils seront regroupés en attendant
leur retour au Rwanda. Kinshasa propose Irebu, dans l'ouest du pays,
où se trouve une base de la marine militaire. "Trop loin du Rwanda,
répond La Forge Fils Bazeye, porte-parole des FDLR. Ce n'est pas
pratique de nous envoyer à plus de 2 000 km de notre pays alors que
nous déposons les armes précisément pour y retourner."

Pour l'instant, ceux qui se sont rendus sont hébergés avec femme et
enfants dans des camps de transit à Kanyabayonga et à Kigogo, dans le
Nord-Kivu et le Sud-Kivu. Au grand dam des populations locales.
